Dawid Pinkowicz is known for his contributions to the field of coordination chemistry and molecular magnetism. Throughout his research career, he has focused on the design and synthesis of functional coordination compounds with unique magnetic and photomagnetic properties. Dawid has made significant contributions in the area of photomagnetism, single-molecule magnets (SMMs), magnetic sponges and redox-active organic radicals. His current work focuses on the design and synthesis of room-temperature photomagnets (ERC funded project LUX-INVENTA), chiral magnets (NCN funded project) or photochromic single-molecule magnets (NCN funded project).

Dawid Pinkowicz's work has been recognized with numerous awards and honors including the National Science Centre Award in the area of Physical Sciences and Engineering 2019, highlighting the impact of his research in the field of chemistry and materials science. Together with his research group, he continues to actively contribute to the scientific community through his publications, collaborations, and mentorship of aspiring chemists.
